Laser Hair Removal is a non-ablative procedure to remove unnecessary body & facial hair.
How it works?
Laser Hair Removal is done by the process called as selective photothermolysis. The pulse from the laser lights destroys hair follicles thus reducing hair growth effectively. Lasers can selectively target (melanin in hairfollicle) which is rich dark pigment of the hair follicles while causing no damage to the surrounding skin. There are three stages of hair growth cycle catogen, Anagen, telogen. Hair follicles had to be in its Anagen stage for the procedure to be more effective on reduction of the unwanted Hairs. Laser hair removal requires minimum three to six sessions depends on each individuals in the period of interval between each session varies from 4-6 weeks.

Preparation:
Do not apply any lotions, creams ,fragrances or oils before treatment.
Do not use UV tanning beds atleast prior to two weeks before treatment. Kindly Avoid sun exposure to the treatment area.
Do not have any injection or chemical peels or any facials in the treatment area for at least two weeks prior laser hair removal.
Do not use any exfoliating topical products in the treatment areas for 1 week before treatment.
Shaving is encouraged prior to treatment. Legs should be shaved around 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid irritation. Strictly no waxing Since the laser targets the root of the hair, it must be present for the treatment to be effective
Post Treatment Care:
- Apply ice to the treated Area.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight.
- No tanning bed for six weeks to eight weeks.
- Use of broad spectrum sunscreen every 4-5 hours
- Application of soothing cream twice daily.

FAQ
- Swelling and redness may occur shortly after the treatment, especially in the cheeks and upper lip areas. The swelling is temporary and will subside within a short period.
- Skin irritation and acne.
- Laser treatment can trigger more growth in some cases.
- Leukotrichia ( white hair phenomenon).
- Burns that may last anywhere between 4-14 days.
- Hyperpigmentation, areas of skin that are darker than the surrounding skin.
- Hypopigmentation, areas of skin that are lighter than the surrounding skin.
- Herpes outbreaks in the patient who a have history of Herpes Simplex
- Allergic reaction or skin irritation in response to the numbing cream.
- If the Hair follicles has no melanin the Hair follicles will not be destroyed (grey hair). If the hair follicle has little and fine hair then instead of destroying the Hair follicles it will activate the hair follicle.
